Purafil Select media, for the company’s gas-phase air purification systems, controls odorous and corrosive hydrogen sulfide gas, says the manufacturer. Lab tests indicate that the product’s removal capacity for hydrogen sulfide gas (14% by weight) is up to nine times greater than other brands, the company says. The media’s pore structure increases available surface area for reaction with and removal of gaseous contaminants, which are chemically converted into nontoxic, noncorrosive end products.
