Emerson Launches Third Generation of its Copeland Scroll Two-stage Compressor

The third generation of the Copeland Scroll two-stage compressors from 1-10 ton has been redesigned for improved performance and reliability in residential and commercial air conditioning systems. The latest technology, which received a 2018 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the Cooling category, is optimized for mid-tier comfort and efficiency rebates with improved full- and part-load performance up to 5 percent greater than the preceding generation. Systems with two-stage compression technology provide improved temperature and humidity control for comfort that homeowners and building occupants can feel. The two-stage compressor runs at full capacity, or approximately 65 percent, which helps keep humidity at bay while reducing energy use. Internal bypass ports enable the compressor to run at approximately 65 percent part-load capacity during times when only part-load heating or cooling is needed. When demand increases, the modulation control valve is activated, sealing the bypass and instantly shifting capacity to 100 percent. For more information, visit www.emerson.com.

Epicor’s Eclipse Helps Distributors Scale, Adapt, and Grow

HVACR distributors need a software solution that is based on a platform they can implement quickly without a substantial cost to their business. The Epicor Eclipse system is designed to help distribution businesses scale, adapt, and grow without costly system modifications.

Epicor provides complete business digitization along with the refined distribution expertise that comes from 50 years of experience offering open e-commerce platforms, mobile sales and services to wireless sales counters and warehouses, advanced inventory management, customer optimization tools, direct 24/7 support, and more.

Epicor Eclipse offers extended capabilities, such as a customer profitability analyzer, strategic pricing, proof of delivery, task automation, and others, that allow businesses to maximize sales and profits, improve customer relationships, drive greater staff productivity, and differentiate themselves from the competition. Epicor hosts a monthly webcast that demonstrates how HVAC distributors collect and harness powerful data and build online experiences that drive customer engagement and sales volume using its Eclipse software and other solutions. For more information, visit www.epicor.com.

New Danfoss Scroll Compressors Feature Intermediate Discharge Valves

Danfoss scrolls with intermediate discharge valves (IDVs) offer savings throughout the life cycle of a system, including increased energy efficiency and reduced maintenance costs. IDV technology has improved the efficiency of Danfoss’s scroll compressors, especially during seasonal and part-load operation. These compressors are backward-compatible with previous Danfoss compressors, feature an extended operating map, and are approved for use with alternative low-GWP (global warming potential) refrigerants. For more information, visit: www.danfoss.com.

Embraco’s Plug N Cool is a Complete Cooling Solution

Embraco’s Plug N Cool is a reach-in freezer and refrigerator solution for grocery markets, convenience stores, and commercial kitchens. Using R-290, this plug-and-play refrigeration system is in compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE) regulations as well as the EPA’s GreenChill program. When space design is important, Plug N Cool features a modular concept that simplifies the installation process and offers flexibility for store layouts. Its self-contained design does not require a machine room, which ultimately provides more space for food retailers. For more information, visit www.embraco.com.

Pointman’s Field Nimble Software is Designed to Boost Profitability

Field Nimble by Pointman is a field service management software and mobile app designed to help small contractors complete jobs quicker, turn more jobs, and become more profitable.

It enables field technicians and office administrators to work together in real time for scheduling, job alerts, customer information, and more. Once on the job, they can make custom proposals, capture signatures, and accept payments. For more information, visit www.pointmanhq.com.
