Carrier Corp. has presented its Territory Manager of the Year Award to Greg Chassey of Carrier Enterprise South Florida.

The contracting company Brady has added two staff positions to its Raleigh, N.C., office. Sabrina Ramm has joined as project administrator. Josh Chayer has joined as a service technician.

McQuay International has announced the opening of a company-owned Daikin McQuay sales, service, and parts office in South Florida. According to a statement issued by the manufacturer, “The move helps the company foster a direct customer relationship to expand business in the South Florida market.”

Laredo Community College has been granted a six year accreditation of its HVACR program by HVAC Excellence. The school completed a self-study evaluation of its program; HVAC Excellence then validated the self-study through an intense review of the program.

In the southern part of Louisiana, flooding has taken its toll in many different ways. One unexpected turn of events is the cancellation of numerous blood drives by United Blood Services. This has caused the supply for the Acadiana Region to drop to a dangerously low level. Because of this, Dave Broussard A/C & Heating has scheduled a blood drive for the Lafayette, La., area on June 1 from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
