A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co. has named Scott Rowell plant manager of its Mt. Sterling, Ky., stamping operations. In his new position, Rowell will be responsible for meeting operation requirements of the 241,000-square-foot plant, as well as a steel slitting operation in Winchester, Ky.

During a campaign to update its members’ contact information, the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) held a random drawing of all the participants for a chance to win a 32-inch, liquid-crystal display, high-definition television. Maurice Pickett of the RSES Central Kentucky Chapter was the winner.

HTS Texas recently provided Rice University with a bus-sized energy recovery unit - believed to be the single largest ever installed in Texas, and one of the largest in the Southwest - for the Brockman Hall for Physics. The building is set for completion in late 2010.
