The Aprilaire® communicating thermostat provides convenient control of heating and cooling equipment through a PC, resulting in an intelligent hvac system that provides comfort and energy savings, says the company. Also referred to as hvac automation, it saves time by eliminating trips to each thermostat location; they can be monitored and programmed at the computer terminal. A setback strategy is based on occupancy and use. Depending on site usage, savings of up to 20% can be realized. The system is also said to be simple to install.
