ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has added a new tool to its list of online resources for contractor members. CalcuNow is an online calculator that can be used to estimate selling prices in order to ensure that a contractor is actually able to achieve his or her target net profit, says the association.

"We hear from members frequently that many contractors make common errors in figuring out how to achieve their target gross margin when figuring out a sales price," said Kevin W. Holland, ACCA’s vice president for Communications & Membership Services. "Working with contractors over the last few months, we've been able to develop a very simple calculator that our members can use to help make sure that the margin they want is the margin they get."

CalcuNow is available to members for free at ACCA's Web site; it is located at www.acca.org/membertools/calcunow/.

CalcuNow is part of the ACCA MemberTools family of member resources. Others include ComforTools, consumer brochures that members use to promote their services; DataTools, which are benchmarking surveys; LegalTools, offering answers to general legal questions; and TrainingTools, a library of handouts that can be used in employee safety and customer service training.
