ASA Launches Campaign To Help Subcontractors

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The American Subcontractors Association Inc. (ASA) launched a campaign titled Stand Up! The campaign is designed to empower subcontractors and suppliers by disseminating ASA's collective knowledge of negotiating skills and tips throughout the construction industry.

The program includes monthly white papers, covering topics such as "Design Risk: Disclaimers," "Lien Waivers," and "What's in the Contract?" The white papers are available in the "Protect Your Rights" section of ASA's Web site, www.asaonline.com.

As part of this program, ASA will hold workshops to help subcontractors and suppliers become their own best business advocates, including one at the ASA Leadership Forum 2004 in Denver, Sept. 30 – Oct. 2.
