This Guide & Workbook explains the steps needed for refrigeration technicians to satisfy the various maintenance requirements within the ANSI/ACCA 14 QMref - 2015 (Quality Maintenance of Commercial Refrigeration Systems) standard. In addition to maintenance procedures, it includes additional examples and helpful procedures in the appendices.

Since commercial refrigeration technicians must be aware of the many components that interact with each other, both the components and their interactions are described throughout this document. This Guide & Workbook not only details the maintenance procedures, but when appropriate, also includes design criteria for these components. There are times when just having the component model number is not enough to replace the part—understanding the design of the component or how it is designed into the system helps in maintaining a well-designed, energy-efficient system.
