Thermocouple ATC1 can easily facilitate taking a superheat or subcooling measurement on most residential and commercial refrigeration appliances or air conditioners, the company says. According to the manufacturer, because of its unique design, the thermocouple even can take measurements of pipes against walls or other surfaces. This pipe clamp thermocouple accessory works with the company's temperature accessory heads, superheat accessory heads, and other temperature instruments that use K-type thermocouples. It can read temperatures up to 400°F. The device's clamp-on design allows a technician to fit it directly on the sides of a pipe. It features a maximum 1-3/8-inch jaw opening.
