EPA cites Milwaukee firms for Clean Air Act violations
MILWAUKEE — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently cited two Milwaukee auto service companies for alleged violations of federal regulations restricting use of CFC refrigerants.
S&S Auto Sales and Super Service, Inc., were cited for servicing motor vehicle air conditioners with a refrigerant called “McCool Chill-It.” The violations involved servicing without using properly trained and certified technicians; and failure to install the required unique fittings and to apply warning labels on air conditioners charged with this product.
