The ClassMate® High Efficiency (HE) vertical air conditioning unit is designed for use in classrooms. The ClassMate HE, which uses R-410A, meets the new 13 SEER standard and is considered to be the most efficient packaged product of its type for classrooms, claims the manufacturer. Features of the unit include a two-stage scroll compressor, cross-rifle tubed condenser coils, quick-draining hydrophilic fin evaporator coils, and indoor fan motor with ECM fan technology. The rear exhaust air outlet is above sill height, reducing the cost of installation, the company says. The outside air louvers blend into the exterior of the building, allowing the design of roofs and facades to be uncluttered by mechanical equipment, states the manufacturer.
