MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Honeywell Control Products has signed a world-wide distribution agreement with Field Diagnostic Services Inc., of Langehorn, PA, for a new diagnostic tool targeted at hvac service technicians.

Marketed by Honeywell as the “HVAC Service Assistant,” the device combines handheld PDA, multiple pressure/temperature gauges, and meters into a single tool. Honeywell says that the device will provide diagnostic analysis on hvac equipment in less than half the normal time.

The company also says that the diagnostic recommendations increase equipment efficiency, which saves energy for the end user. In addition, data can be uploaded for generating printed reports and storing maintenance logs and performance history for future review and analysis.
