URS selected for modernization of Treasury Building
WASHINGTON, DC — URS Greiner Woodward Clyde, a division of URS Corp., San Francisco, CA, has been selected, along with Shalom Baranes Associates, to modernize the landmark U.S. Treasury Building, the oldest office building still in operation by the original cabinet level office for which it was built.
The project encompasses the complete renovation of the 502,000-sq-ft building, which was first built in 1833. The renovation will be accomplished in three phases while the building remains in operation.
