Two Leaders in the HVACR and Building Science Fields Join Forces to Train the Industry
The HVACR industry is faced with a labor shortage, rapidly changing technology, and the emerging challenge of building electrification. With that in mind, Daikin, a manufacturer of HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) equipment, and the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA), a provider of skilled labor and education, are joining forces to tackle these challenges.
The MSCA (Mechanical Service Contractors Association) is an organization for HVACR contractors, providing education, marketing, and labor/management services to assure its contractor members deliver quality performance, value, and expertise for all building system needs. The UA provides service technicians to MSCA contractors to perform service, maintenance, replacement, retrofit, and repair work, resulting in enhanced reliability, tenant satisfaction, and efficiency. The MSCA has more than 1,400 member companies and is a subsidiary of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA).
