Trademark Infringement Allegation Gets Fan Manufacturer Thrown Out Of Expo
ORLANDO, Fla. — A dispute over intellectual property rights led to a fan manufacturer being ejected from the exhibit floor of the 2020 AHR Expo, held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, the afternoon of Tuesday, February 4.
According to pacermonitor.com, federal records for the Middle District of Florida show that Delta T, LLC d/b/a/ Big Ass Fans — another exhibitor at AHR — filed a complaint against Kale Fans America on Sunday, February 2, which was setup day on the Expo’s main show floor. On Monday, as the first day of the Expo got underway, the case was assigned to Judge Paul Byron and Magistrate Judge Embry Kidd. Dozens of pages of trademark reports were reviewed, and late that afternoon, the judge signed a temporary restraining order and seizure order against Kale Fans America.
