BUENA VISTA, Va. — Modine Manufacturing Co.'s facility in Buena Vista, Va., celebrated its 50 year anniversary. According to the company, the first unit heaters rolled of this factory's line in December of 1963, the year the factory was built. Currently the facility supports the company’s Commercial Products Group and produces its full line of gas fired unit heaters, including the Effinity93^®.

"Because of the group’s continued growth, the Buena Vista plant also produces Modine’s Airedale ClassMate^® and SchoolMate^® line of DX and heat pump classroom ventilation systems, the Atherion^® packaged rooftop ventilation equipment, WeatherHawk^® outdoor air systems, and infrared heating units," said the company. "Buena Vista, and the accompanying warehouse in nearby Lexington, Va., employ approximately 180 employees."

To mark the anniversary, Modine held a celebratory luncheon. During the afternoon, tours of the manufacturing facility were provided for hundreds of retirees, family members, and local city officials.
