AMCA International Announces New Staff, Reorganization
Dan Manole and John Cowie join the organization
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. has announced the hiring of two additional staff members and a reorganization.
Dan Manole, Ph.D., has joined AMCA as the new director of certification. His principal role will be to lead the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP). Manole has considerable experience and education in the fields of mechanical engineering, standards, and certification, with strong experience in team building and process improvement. Directly relating to the AMCA CRP, he has over 22 years of experience in certification and accreditation, including working in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), ASHRAE, Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), UL, and Energy Star. Manole holds more than 20 patents and a Ph.D. in engineering and applied sciences from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Science degree in HVAC engineering from the University of Galati in Romania.
