DOE Publishes a Notice of Effective Date and Compliance Dates for Direct Final Rule Pertaining to Small, Large, and Very Large Air-Cooled Commercial Package Air Conditioning, Heating Equipment, and Commercial Warm Air Furnaces
The Department of Energy (DOE) has published a Federal Register notice detailing the effective date and compliance dates for DOE's direct final rule (DFR) pertaining to energy conservation standards for small, large, and very large air-cooled commercial package air conditioning, heating equipment, and commercial warm air furnaces. 81 FR 32628 (May 24, 2016).
DOE has determined that the comments received in response to the direct final rule do not provide a reasonable basis for withdrawing the direct final rule. Therefore, DOE is confirming its adoption of the energy conservation standards established in the direct final rule and announcing the effective date of those standards. The notice also details the relevant compliance dates that apply.
