Company: Extech Instruments, a division of FLIR Commercial Systems
Description: The RD300 is a heated diode refrigerant leak detector that pinpoints chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant leaks with three levels of sensitivity to leaks as small as 0.25 ounces per year (7 grams per year). The ergonomic tool also features a built-in LED work light on the probe tip for dimly lit locations. The detector’s heated sensor detects R-22, -134a, -404a, and -410a. Audible alarms can be muted to avoid disturbing occupants or nearby workers. The color-coded 9-LED bar graph provides at-a-glance information on levels being detected. The unit comes with a leak test bottle; 9-V battery; and durable, hard carrying case to protect the detector when not in use.
