Thermostat Is Said to Reduce Home Comfort Costs by an Average of 20 Percent
INDIANAPOLIS — Carrier has introduced a new smart thermostat that the company said fuses the convenience of smart device remote access with improved HVAC system efficiency. With a 3.5-inch, full-color touch screen, the Cor™ thermostat responds automatically via its built-in proximity sensor and welcomes users with an intuitive interface, said Carrier. The thermostat’s microprocessor executes advanced algorithms to provide greater efficiency and optimum comfort. The thermostat is said to reduce home comfort costs by an average of 20 percent.
“The word Cor is Latin for heart, and we have designed the Cor thermostat to be the heart of a smarter home,” said Matthew Pine, Carrier marketing director. “This innovative smart thermostat adapts to each home’s needs and system capabilities, continually updating itself and learning the ideal settings to ensure comfort and energy efficiency.”
