The Vertical Air Handler for small-duct systems offers efficient, quiet operation, even in hard-to-cool areas. The air handler can be installed easily in closets, basements, or mechanical rooms. The configuration gives contractors an additional choice for installation. The vertical unit is available in 2-, 2.5-, and 3-ton sizes, depending on the capacity needed. The air handler is the heart of the company’s small-duct, high-velocity HVAC solution. The vertical air handler is a single cabinet with a blower and heat pump coil. A hot water coil can be added, or a hot water-only unit can be ordered. Contractors and homeowners can select a standard refrigerant-based heat pump (heat and cool) coil, a refrigerant-based cooling-only coil, chilled water coil, hot water coil, or electric-based heating module. The vertical air handler is available with the Green Series S.M.A.R.T. Control Board, a more efficient ECM.
