Report Updates the ‘Natural’ Refrigerants Fiscal Situation in Europe
The Focal Point Is on HFCs
As consensus builds for a European agreement on regulating emissions of f-gases, Shecco has launched its newest publication, the “GUIDE+: HFC Taxes & Fiscal Incentives for Natural Refrigerants in Europe.” It is an overview of existing and proposed fiscal measures aimed at reducing the use and emissions of HFCs in HVACR sectors.
The report compares the different HFC tax levels currently in place and planned for 2014, while also analyzing different financial incentives for natural refrigerant technologies in several European countries.
It “provides valuable information regarding where the opportunities lie for implementing sustainable refrigerant solutions that end users and technology providers alike can reap and help the market for natural refrigerants to grow further,” said Alexandra Maratou, deputy public affairs manager, Shecco. “It is also — we hope — a source of inspiration for policy makers drawing future policies for sustaining our atmosphere.”
