Daikin said the brand will be supported by an aggressive brand reinforcement campaign that will include several co-marketing partnerships. In addition, several programs to drive prospective sales leads to qualifying Daikin dealers will be deployed. The premium brand will be positioned as bringing “Comfort for Life” to residential homeowners across North America.
“We believe that the Daikin brand launch allows us an opportunity to better serve a focused group of HVAC dealers who will find value in the leading technology associated with the Daikin brand and who want to represent the number one HVAC brand in the world. One of our goals with the Daikin brand is to serve a segment of the replacement market in which other manufacturers have under-invested. It’s a rare and exciting opportunity to launch a new brand in the North American HVAC industry,” said Dave Swift, president and CEO of Daikin North America LLC.
Takeshi Ebisu, Daikin Industries board member, said “We believe that applying Daikin’s proven technological innovation and leadership from around the world is a great opportunity for the HVAC dealers serving the North American market. It’s the largest global HVAC market. With the full range of ducted and ductless products, this is a special opportunity for our customers and our company.”
The company said all Daikin brand unitary products will be assembled in manufacturing plants located in Texas and Tennessee.
