• Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced that Brendan Reid, CEO, Comfort Institute (Bellingham, Wash.), joined the Building Performance Council advisory committee.
• Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) will host its 69th annual convention, Oct. 14-17, in Las Vegas.
• Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA) announced that the board of standards review of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved the reaffirmation of ANSI/AMCA Standard 204-05, Balance Quality and Vibration Levels for Fans.
• National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) donated $10,000 to American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) research. The donation earned NEBB membership in ASHRAE’s Golden Circle.
