The PT2 induced-draft counterflow cooling tower covers the range of 100 to 2,000 nominal tons. The cooling tower has been designed with features that make the unit maintenance-friendly, overcoming the access issues often encountered with induced-draft counterflow units in this size range, claims the manufacturer. It has the Interlok™ system, a rapid field-installation sealer tape-free joint. Features include the BranchLok™ system, a spray distribution system; sectional louvers that offer quick access to any part of the cold-water basin; an inward-sliding, permanently attached access door; external motor adjustment with integrated locking tool and davit mount; and sloped basin. Optional removable fill inspection panels allow for easy inspection and access to fill, and an optional upgrade covers most U.S. seismic applications in addition to withstanding hurricane wind loads.
