You Could Do More If You Had To Do Less.
Denise Ernst, director of commercial product management for Lennox, is not only pleased with the way readers reacted to the company’s ad, but also to the way they reacted to the company’s L Series® rooftop unit featured in the ad.
“The ad focuses on an issue that contractors struggle with on a daily basis: labor efficiency,” explained Ernst. “By providing a visual solution with our equipment, the audience can connect with the benefits we have achieved with the product design: perimeter location of components, easy access with hinged doors, our IMC control module, isolated compartments, and slide-out supply fans for servicing, just to name a few.
“With the ad’s modular format, we can quickly communicate the Lennox brand, as well additional products in our lineup, that the contractor audience also installs and services.”
According to Ernst, Lennox wanted to reinforce to the contractor audience - both installing and service - that “our premium rooftop units have been designed to help them be more efficient on the job, which translate to higher profitability for their businesses.”
He said the company’s factory-installed options save time during installation, too. The location of key components - compressors, controls, supply fan, filters, etc., combined with hinged access - reduces time on the roof to service the equipment, he stressed.
“When we design a commercial product, we look at everyone who is involved in its lifespan: installing contractors, service and repair contractors, as well as the owner of the building,” said Ernst. “By focusing on the ‘total cost of ownership’ for our equipment, we have units that are both energy efficient as well as easy to install and service.”
