The Stop-Silent® check valve series features a cone design that ensures tight shutoff to prevent backflow of liquid or gaseous media. According to the manufacturer, the design also eliminates water hammer and associated problems of noise and wear, resulting in quiet, noise-free operation and a long service life. The corrosion-resistant valves feature a temperature range of -4° to 356°F (-20° to 180°C) and an operating pressure up to 232 psi. The valves can handle fluids up to 10 feet per second and gases up to 50 feet per second. Standard cones and valve sizes are available from 1 to 8 inches with multicone valves in sizes of 6-24 inches. The valves are offered with a choice of several diaphragm materials and mounting styles to meet varying requirements, and can be installed into fittings, standard unions, or between flanges. They can be installed in pumps, compressors, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems.
