The five-day basic training program, held in late September, highlighted the resources available to distributors and dealers who represent the York brand of HVAC equipment manufactured by Johnson Controls. The 26 TMs who attended the event enjoyed a variety of presentations during the week, including remarks by Tom Huntington, vice president and general manager, Unitary Products, Building Efficiency for Johnson Controls, and Gary Elekes, professional business trainer and faculty member with York Business Training University (BTU).
"It's critical that territory managers understand the dealer-level business and marketing programs available from Johnson Controls," said Matt Peterson, vice president, sales and marketing, Unitary Products for Johnson Controls. "We want them to become experts at explaining these programs to dealers. Ultimately, we want territory managers to be able to focus on consultative selling, helping dealers plan for and achieve success in their businesses."
