PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Trane launched its new promotion, The Extreme Team. The team is comprised of the industry's most reliable heating and cooling professionals who are committed to delivering unmatched service and solutions to their customers. This resource gives members special access to product and parts promotions, announcements, additional HVAC vendors, and the opportunity to win prizes, including an iPod Shuffle (100 in total) and a Panasonic Palm Theatre. Every month in 2006, Trane will send a special e-mail to Extreme Team members highlighting the product or part of the month, as well as any special announcements.

The face of the Extreme Team promotion is the Extreme Man who represents service contractors as he performs his job in the heat of the summer and the cold of winter to keep his customers' HVAC systems up and running. He's also the building owner that does everything from plunging toilets to making sure his chiller plant is operating at peak efficiency.

"Our goal is to connect with the service contractor and building owner, and provide them with incentives and access to vendors, parts, and products that will help them do their jobs under any condition," said David Coghlan, vice president of global parts for Trane. "This promotion is designed to be fun while consistent with how service contractors and building owners view the Trane brand – engaging, expert, and committed."
