Sept. 17, 2010: Carrier Takes New Light Commercial Product Line on Tour

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Carrier Corp. announced that it is showcasing its new line of light commercial comfort solutions on a nationwide “Blueprint to Win” tour. The tour includes training on the latest Carrier® light commercial rooftops and split systems (up to 30 tons), which the company said have some of the highest commercial EERs in the industry. Also included is instruction on regulatory guidelines and web resources from Carrier.

Carrier said the one-day training sessions are designed to provide industry professionals with information on energy efficiency and comfort solutions, knowledge which can be used in both new and replacement applications. The Carrier team reviews the sustainable Weather Series packaged rooftops from 2 to 25 tons and Gemini® split systems up to 30 tons, which feature Puron® refrigerant and EERs up to 13.0, as well as Carrier and Toshiba Carrier duct-free splits from 0.75 to 5 tons. Carrier experts also update attendees on legislative issues, including ASHRAE 90.1 and Energy Star® standards, indoor air quality, system network controls, web resources, application layout, financial payback analysis, and training courses and software programs for product selection.

“Our 2010 light commercial product line is our broadest and most efficient ever, which is why we felt it was important to illustrate the benefits directly to our customers,” said Greg Alcorn, vice president of sales and marketing, Carrier Light Commercial Systems. “Going on tour has allowed us to demonstrate the innovative features and competitive advantages of our products.”

Alcorn added, “As we continue to expand our product offering, we remain committed to working closely with our customers to provide the right solutions to fit their scope and budget.”

Carrier has already been to more than 30 cities in North America on the tour and is now scheduling events for the fall. For more information, visit www.carrier.com.
