ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Overall Construction Classification System (OCCS) is being refined and reworked for all public and private construction industry organizations. The OCCS’ website is up and running at www.occsnet.org; participants are being urged to log on, gain insight, and volunteer to help with the system’s development.

The OCCS is being “envisioned as a common standard, utilizing consistent terminology to classify as aspects of the process used for constructing and sustaining the built environment — from conception through demolition.”
