The patented Uniflex union is designed to provide leak-tight operation and one-third the downtime required to replace conventional unions, says the company. Its gasket provides a seal equivalent to flange gaskets and the union can be used wherever flanges are acceptable, the company says. Making and breaking connections simply requires replacement of the gasket, and zero-clearance fit means there is no need to spring pipes apart as with standard unions, the manufacturer says. A free working sample is available.
