MSA Instrument Division: REFRIGERANT MONITOR

The Chillgard® DF refrigerant monitor combines photoacoustic infrared sensing technology with a design tailored for cost-conscious budgets, says the company. The unit detects low-level leaks of newer ozone-friendly refrigerants (HCFC-123 and HFC-134a), as well as older refrigerants (CFC-11, -12, and HCFC-22). With a measuring range of 0 to 2,000 ppm, the unit detects refrigerant leaks as low as 30 ppm, the company says. There is minimal effect due to changes in humidity, and the unit has a high immunity to interference, says the manufacturer.
