The Louisiana Community and Technical College System is a statewide technical and vocational education system composed of eight districts with 42 college campuses. HVAC Excellence reports that each Louisiana technical or community college has prepared an in-depth self-study that measures its performance against the standards set by HVAC Excellence.
In addition to accreditation, HVAC Excellence says that it will credential each HVACR instructor. The organization requires that educators provide evidence of meeting their state’s requirements for educators. They must also achieve a minimum score of 80 percent and an aggregate score of 84 percent in six area-specific HVAC Excellence Certification Exams. The title of Certified Master HVAC Educator (CMHE) is conferred to those who have met the standards of competency established by HVAC Excellence.
