June 20, 2002: Zoning Marketing Alliance Launched

CLEVELAND, OH — The Zoning Marketing Alliance (ZMA) has announced that membership applications are being accepted for the newly established trade organization. Contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and other professionals interested in contributing to the growth of zoning systems in the HVACR industry can apply online at www.zmaonline.org (website).

“The voyage has begun,” said Dennis Laughlin, president of ZMA. “A preliminary infrastructure meeting was held April 24, at which time the founding members drafted the mission and guiding principles that ZMA will follow.”

A preliminary March announcement about the birth of the Zoning Marketing Alliance was met with overwhelming positive responses, according to Laughlin. “With such supportive feedback about the need for an association, we immediately assigned duties to the founding members and created a strategic plan to ensure the growth of the zoning industry,” he said.

The ZMA website will begin to post member notices and create a member referral directory as membership applications are received.
