The manufacturer’s plastic HVAC duct components - collars, reducer/couplers, and boots - are designed with 6- and 7-inch-diameter intakes to assist the contractor by reducing the parts ordered. It also offers the contractor more flexibility during the installation process. The blow-molded plastic design improves the safety factor for installers by eliminating the razor-sharp edges and reducing the amount of waste attributed to dropped and damaged parts. According to the company, insects cannot infiltrate the living area through holes, cracks, or seams in the products.
