Feb. 19, 2002: OSHA Schedules Small Business Safety And Health Forum

AURORA, IL — A special forum on safety and health for small businesses will be held at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL, on Tuesday, March 12.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) area office in North Aurora, Waubonsee Community College, and Illinois Onsite Consultation, Industrial Service Division, Department of Commerce and Community Affairs.

Safety and health professionals from the government and private sector will provide examples and information on how some companies have created and implemented successful programs on ergonomics as well as confined space entry. Detailed information will be provided on electrical hazards, fire safety, machine guarding, and the new OSHA recordkeeping rule that went into effect on January 1, 2002.

The program will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Waubonsee Community College, Route 47, in Sugar Grove. The fee for the forum is $32, which includes lunch and refreshments.
