The Digital Load Monitor (DLM) is capable of accurately measuring electrical motor loads and warning of overload and underload conditions, says the manufacturer. The company says the DLM has the capacity to calculate actual shaft power by using software algorithms and discounting motor losses. The device is equipped with pre- and main alarm systems to warn of an impending failure or trigger a shutdown to protect equipment, the manufacturer says.
