COURSE TITLE: Residential Design Seminar

SPONSORING ORGANIZATION: Air Conditioning Contractors of America

COURSE DESCRIPTION: In the class, students will learn the fundamentals of load calculation, equipment selection, duct design, and room air distribution. Heat transfer fundamentals are taught as a foundation for computer-assisted load calculation. Topics covered include Manual J eighth edition (load calculation) and Right-Suite™ Universal – Load software, Manual S – Equipment Selection, Manual D – Duct Design, Manual T Grille & Register Selection, and Right-Suite™ Universal – Reports. This class provides 20 hours of continuing education credit toward NATE recertification.

COURSE TITLE: Principles of Large AC Motors

SPONSORING ORGANIZATION: Electrical Apparatus Service Association Inc.

DATE: April 24-25


COURSE DESCRIPTION: The introductory course covers horizontal and vertical squirrel-cage induction motors in the 300- to 5,000-horsepower range, low and medium voltage; according to the organization, most of the information is applicable to all sizes of squirrel-cage induction motors. The material is relevant to North American and international standards.
