BXV® AB: Refrigerant Control Device

The flooded evaporator technology reduces operating costs by approximately 10-12 percent, says the company. The Bubble Expansion Valve washes cold refrigerants through 100 percent of the evaporator. The control signal for regulating refrigerant is via the condensate instead of from the superheated evaporator return gas. Also, a new oil-return method and new ejector pump construction for recirculation of cold refrigerant fluid through the evaporator have been developed. According to the manufacturer, industrial cooling system technology has been simplified for the first time and transferred to smaller, more efficient cooling systems. The control signal is completely self-actuated and regulates the refrigerant flow through a valve according to the presence of gas or liquid from the condenser.
