The large-tonnage centrifugal chillers in the Titan Series are offered in sizes ranging from 2,000 to 8,500 tons of refrigeration. They can be powered by electric motors, steam turbines, natural gas engines, and gas turbines; the energy source can be changed in the future due to their open-drive design. Capabilities of Titan chillers include multiple drivelines on the same set of heat exchanger shells, and high head capacity to handle brine cooling, ice building, thermal storage, and heat pump/heat recovery, says the manufacturer.
