Noland Co. (Newport News, VA) reports third-quarter net income of $1,991,000, or $0.54 per share (diluted), 43.9% greater than the year earlier period’s $1,383,000, or $0.37 per share. The wholesale-distribution firm’s third-quarter sales fell 1.6%, from third-quarter 1999’s $126,276,000 down to $124,284,000.
