CHICAGO — Lochinvar is introducing its ARMOR X2 commercial condensing water heater. The ARMOR X2 combines stainless steel heat exchanger technology with modulating/condensing combustion to deliver thermal efficiencies as high as 96 percent. Available in models with 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5 million Btuh inputs, the unit offers an efficient, advanced solution for a wide range of commercial applications, says the company.

Designed to eliminate concerns about meeting hot water demand, says Lochinvar, ARMOR X2 is equipped with two independent combustion systems that consist of two 316L stainless steel heat exchangers, gas valves, and combustion blowers designed to work in unison.

With a turndown ratio of 10:1, the ARMOR X2 is said to deliver the precise amount of heat to match demand. The combustion system can fire as low as 10 percent of the maximum water heater input and modulate up to 100 percent as demand increases.

The new water heater also features Lochinvar’s SMART TOUCH operating control. This color touchscreen control provides complete control of all ARMOR X2 functions.
