The V-RAY GRID™ Healthy Building System utilizes advanced ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) technology. The UVGI provides improved IAQ through simultaneous airstream and surface disinfection. In addition, the system reduces HVAC energy consumption by maintaining clean coils and lowers HVAC maintenance costs by eliminating costly coil cleaning. According to the manufacturer, the unique design of the system allows for easy installation in almost every HVAC system and implements the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ suggested general strategy regarding use of UVGI in ventilating ducts for reducing transmission of airborne infectious diseases.
