Colonial Gas, which serves over 155,000 customers located northwest of Boston, MA and on Cape Cod, has announced that it is discontinuing its appliance repair service. The utility stated it would still honor existing contracts, but would refer all new calls to the Yellow Pages. One of the reasons cited for leaving the service and repair market is the renewed attention in the state to potential unfair competition.
