The Ultra-Trak 750 monitors structure-borne ultrasounds produced by operating equipment and can detect either a rise or dropoff of sound levels in real time for trending or alarm purposes, the company says. It can be used to monitor, trend, or data log events. The monitor can warn of problems such as mechanical failure, valve leakage, flow disruption, cavitation, equipment shutdown, and arcing in enclosed switchgear. According to the company, a unique feature is a demodulated output that allows the sensor to be connected to FFT analyzers and other recording devices. The monitor operates on 4-20 mA current loop power or current loop output.
