The SM-54 is currently the largest model in the line of Supermax® shell-and-plate heat exchangers. The heat exchanger handles high flow rates efficiently with its six-inch (DN150) plate-side connections and up to 16-inch shell-side connections. It can also be used to optimize services, such as single-phase condensing and evaporation duties; broad gas processing duties; solvent condensing; steam heating; and single-component two-phase service. Additionally, the unit can be configured with a removable core. According to the manufacturer, the SM-54 is an ideal alternative to shell and tube exchangers, offering high efficiency at lower cost and using less space.
