The tax reminder service is designed to help businesses and individuals remember to file tax returns and make payments on time, reducing or eliminating costly interest charges and penalties. It is a fully integrated and customizable Internet service, the company says. Registered users receive an e-mail seven days prior to the due date of each of their filings or payments. Each e-mail reminder contains the name of the tax filing that is due and details on where and how to pay it. If it is possible to e-file or pay through the Internet, then a link is provided in the e-mail. The system handles over 24 types of taxes, including estimated income and single business tax payments, payroll taxes, property taxes, and year-end filings. Currently, it is available nationally for an individual's federal, state, and property tax filings and to businesses in Michigan.
