The new 825 Series noncontact infrared thermometers provide integrated, fast-response surface probes and an expanded range of adjustable emissivity to deliver temperature readings on all surfaces, says the manufacturer. The units also include adjustable alarms. They come ready for field use with a snug, waterproof case, batteries, and a combination belt clip/wall holder. The unit can be used for checking air diffuser temperatures at a distance, evaluating overheating motors, troubleshooting steam traps, and searching for insulation gaps, the company says.
