The SmartComfortâ„¢ VS 90 variable-speed, two-stage gas furnace can be installed in an upflow, downflow, horizontal left, or horizontal right configuration. The furnace offers 92-percent AFUE efficiency. Features of the furnace include dual certification for one- or two-pipe venting, stainless steel primary and secondary heat exchangers, two-stage gas valve, and two-stage fan timer. The furnace has connections for an electronic air cleaner, humidifier, and dehumidistat. The SmartComfort furnaces each have a lined one-piece steel cabinet and an insulated blower compartment to provide added sound protection. This furnace is equipped with a troubleshooting LED fault indicator that will diagnose practically all system-related malfunctions, states the manufacturer.
